Mariah Carey People’s Choice Awards 2010 Speech: A Drunken Incident or What? Mariah Carey’s acceptance speech at the 2010 People’s Choice Awards is creating quite a slur…I mean, stir. Carey, the R&B sensation from the 1990’s is making a come-back, and becoming the center of viral Internet discussion in the process. Mariah Carey’s People’s Choice Awards acceptance speech was rambling, and made many people wonder if she was drunk.
This isn’t the first strange acceptance speech from Carey. Just a couple of nights ago, she accepted an award for her role in “Precious.” She rambled on and on for seven minutes, and many people think she was under the influence of something.
Nick Cannon, Carey’s husband, helped her on stage. Some speculate that she was drunk, while others joke that her dress was too tight to walk by herself.
This isn’t Mariah Carey’s first scandal. In 2001, she promoted Glitter, which turned out to be a big disaster, on TRL. Her actions during that appearance made many people scratch their heads...
